Rectangular Keystock (12" & 36")
Ranges from 1/8" x 3/16" up to2" x 2-1/2". The material is 1018 carbon steel and is available with either zinc plated or plain finish, stainless and brass.
Metric Keystock Made of high quality zinc plated cold drawn steel. Bars are cut, not sheared. Over tolerances: -.000mm to +.0762mm. Sold in 12 inch and 1 meter lengths.
Stepped Keystock Is used for couplings, gears, sprockets and pulleys.
Standard Keys
Standard keys are stocked with both ends square and manufactured from 1018 carbon steel.
Woodruff Keys Machined from 1035 steel, DMR Woodruff Keys (Half Moon Keys) are available from stock in 50 SAE size. Special sizes and materials suh as alloy steel (A-3630) are available on special order from the factory. Assortment kits of popular sizes are availablefor the convenience of mechanics and repair personnel.
Gib Head Keys Used for holding pulleys and gears tightly on the shaft. They are tapered 1/8" per foot to fit snugly on the shaft are machined from 1018 steel.
